Real Fat Loss Secrets: Do This and Lose Fat Non-Stop
September 3rd, 2008Real Fat Loss Secrets: Do This and Lose Fat Non-Stop – Regardless of Age, Genetics or Body-Type
- by Joey Atlas
________________________________________________________________
Ok – you ready?
Go into your kitchen…
Chop up a half a tomato Chop up a cup and a half of lettuce Add 1/3 can of chick peas (be careful which brand you choose) Add 4 – 6 pre-washed baby carrots Add a sprinkle of sea salt Add a shake of black pepper Add 2 shakes of balsamic vinegar Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil
Mix and eat…
There – now you’re burning fat…
Easy right?
Yeah, I agree…
That’s EXACTLY what I just ate for lunch – and it was awesome…
It tasted great. I’m satisfied but not stuffed. My energy is at peak level – and I don’t feel sluggish like most people do after the typical mass population crappy lunch. I won’t be hungry for about 3 or 4 more hours and if I do get hungry – I just dig into my bag of tricks (tactics, actually) and I’m still on target – keeping my metabolism steadily burning right along…
The truth is – fat loss is really that easy – but I also understand you might have a lot of questions about that recipe and about other elements that are related to that recipe and the big picture of fat loss and ‘dieting’ – such as…
- “When do I eat that, Joey?”
- “Can I substitute something in that recipe, Joey?”
- “I work the night shift, Joey – when should I plan this meal?”
- “What about snacking before or after that meal, Joey?”
- “What if I’m still hungry after that?”
- “What about the other meals in my day Joey?”
- “What if I don’t have all the ingredients?”
- “What about my willpower, Joey?”
- “What about the next day – and the day after that?”
- “What if I get gas from this meal Joey – then what do I do?”
- “What if I don’t like that, Joey – can you show me something else for fat-burning?”
There are more questions than I have space for here – and you probably have some specific questions of your own (you’ll have a chance to ask them below if you want to later…)…
But here’s what I have to offer you right now – as I sat down to eat this for my lunch – I started to think about what separates me and other successful “dieters” – or shall we say ‘good eaters’, from the majority of people who just can’t seem to get it together and make it all work in the name of FAT-LOSS?
The timing on this is great – and it has prompted me to issue a helpful warning for you…
-
URGENT WARNING: Fat-Loss Dieters Are Being Targeted for Easy Profits
-
Fat loss product and diet program marketers consider September and January as their ‘Gold Rush’ times of year – when in their words…
-
“all the sorry ass yo-yo dieters, fatties and fitness wannabe’s are looking for their next magic pill, miracle gadget or ‘breakthrough diet’ – to help them finally drop all the fat and flab from their bloated bodies.”
-
That’s a direct quote I pulled from a diet/weight loss industry, marketing forum… Mind you these folks are not health or fitness coaching pros – these are marketers who make their pay by preying on people’s weaknesses and desperation…
And during the next few weeks you’re going to see a relentless onslaught of bullshit promotions and marketing blitzes fueled by hard-selling sales tactics to make you think you’ve just found ‘The Thing That’s Finally Going to Work for You!”
Here’s my advice – straight from an industry insider, consumer advocate and someone who truly cares about YOU and your results…
Don’t fall for any of it…
Don’t allow yourself to be dazzled…
Don’t let your emotional guard down…
Don’t let yourself be fooled, robbed and cheated…
Yeah – I know you want something – I know you need ’some kind of help’ – to get you through the tough times and ‘over the hump’ – you want some guidance – you want a trusty adviser to turn to…
You want something that’s gonna show early results that can be easily sustained with an approach and methodology that is realistic and can followed anywhere in the world – the US, China, India, Brazil – WHEREVER!!
Its ‘Tactics’ That Work
This does exist – but its all about TACTICS… and not just a plan…
Every war that was ever won – was won because of TACTICS – not an overall battle plan…
Every company that has succeeded through both good and bad economic times – has done so with TACTICS – not a general business plan…
Every famous or successful person has climbed to great heights – thanks to TACTICS – not just a general life plan…
Every World Series, World Cup, Daytona 500, Stanley Cup, British Open or Super Bowl has been won with TACTICS – not an overall general game plan…
It’s TACTICS that separates the winners from the losers – the successful from the unsuccessful – the victorious over the defeated….
And its TACTICS that are going to be your true secret weapon – the missing link you’ve been searching for to help you reach your winners circle – your gold podium – your triumphant rise to your own personal championship…
For a few lucky people – simple strategies and techniques are enough to get the job done – but for MANY – as in the vast majority – they are not…
Strategies and Techniques are what I included in my book, ‘Fatness to Fitness’ – no TACTICS though…
You may be asking “Why no ‘tactics’ in the book, Joey – if you are touting them so strongly in this article?”
Here’s the deal – I wrote ‘Fatness to Fitness’ as my first entry in to the mainstream….
Leading with an arsenal of eye-brow raising TACTICS could have cost me my credibility, my reputation and ultimately my career… simply because these tactics are not commonplace in the mainstream media…
And that wouldn’t have been good for me or for you…
But for now here’s what you need to know about TACTICS:
- Tactics make difficult tasks easy…
- Tactics give you deadly leverage against your foes…
- Tactics allow you to side step any danger that comes your way…
- Tactics give you the winning state of mind because you can control any situation…
- Tactics allow you to turn any possible point of failure into the perfect set-up for victory…
- Tactics are your small bag of effective secrets that nobody else can understand…
- Tactics give you shortcuts to certain points that others don’t even now exist…
See, there are several KEY reasons why so may people fail at fat-loss and dieting – and these TACTICS directly address those key reasons and simply wipe them out of the equation – clearing an open path for your permanent fat-loss success…
During the next few weeks – I’ll be posting more articles, info and insight about this topic right here – so stay tuned…
As I finalize this Fat-Loss program based on these TACTICS – we are preparing to open up the doors in time for the New Year here in the US – and the program will be open to people in every country – but spots will be limited… I’ll elaborate more in the next few weeks…
In closing – I would like to ask you to share your past diet and fat-loss attempts… What you tried… Why it failed you… And what you believe you need to get you to success… Just click ‘comment’ below my dashing head shot…

While I appreciate this blog, I’m one of those guys who is working on his six pack and have like MAYBE 8-10 left but these are the HARDEST to get rid of for me at least. What do I do? I’ve been working on the elliptical 45 mins a day at various intervals, burning approx 600 calories a day. I’ve been also taking in about 200 grams of protein since this is my target weight. WELL, I’m stuck between 186-188! I still have a little “pouch” and slight love handles. WHAT DO I DO NOW!

I always love the recipes that will help you lose wait however, I don’t think I have seen one that I will actually eat. I am the pickiest eater and would never chick peas, balsamic vinegar, tomatoes, or anything that constitutes any kind of condiment. Does anyone have any ideas for quick meals that use normal foods (think picky kid food here?)
Any suggestions would be appreciated

I prefer not to think of the failed attempts at weight loss and I am feeling pretty darn successful with the one I am doing right now. I love your blogs though and your writing style is HILARIOUS!
I think my lunch was way better then yours though.
Hummus
Carrots
Cottage Cheese
I found a new brand of hummus and it is FABULOUS! Ahhh I can still taste it…………………

i had tried every diet possible in the past. they ALWAYS failed because they limited food groups or the caloric intake was too small. the ONLY thing that works is to eat clean…….whole, unprocessed foods and a combination of strength training and cardio. there are no secrets to weight loss. calories in, calories out and to make those calories as nutritional as possible. stay away from sugars, fats and salts. after 3 kids and my birthday last year, i looked at myself in pictures and hated what i saw. i did research on nutrition and weight training. i made it happen in one year. this year, i turned 40 and am in better shape both physically and menatlly than i was as a teenager.

I have recently started eating foods that agree with my blood type. The book, ” Eat Right for Your Blood Type”, by Peter D’Adamo, ND. There are foods to avoid for some blood types, certain acid/ alkaline balances that are important to each individual person. O +/- can eat all types of food. A +/- is more vegetarian and can eat chicken and some fish for protein. This guide to the foods that your bloodtype can benefit from works.

I’ve done all kinds of homegrown eating plans as well as Curve and dancersize classes etc but with little effect. I hate gym, and hate dieting but at just turned 50 I’m carting around about 15 kgs too many so something had to be done.
So, I started your ULBHT Diet about four weeks ago and so far, not too bad. The exercises nearly killed me to start with – then I realized I wasn’t meant to be doing all 15 reps straight off (lol)… BUT my main trouble is that with my estrogen levels getting low, the actual fat is harder to lose because (so they tell me) estrogen gets stored in fat, so the perimenopausal woman hoards fat in order to keep the estrogen count as high as possible. Is this true? I’m NOT doing HRT, but am taking a natural herbal menopausal supplement … but on the whole, so far I am encouraged with the results. Except that I’m now plateau-ing … tiny tiny loss in the fourth week, both kgs and cms.
Love your emails, btw …

Hi, my problem isnt that i need to lose weight, I just want to tone up my butt especially, after several kids and in my mid 40’s i feel everything is heading south – you know that thing called gravity! My butt needs more weight on it and needs lifted, so how about suggesting food to enable that process of putting weight on the butt area??
September 3rd, 2008 at 1:56 pm
The recipe sounds great, but what do you mean by “chick peas (be careful which brand you choose)”? Can you give some guidelines on picking a good brand?
I love recipes like this – I usually have all these ingredients around (except maybe lettuce). Quick & easy, can prepare and bring to work or snack at home – thank you!

Hi Joey, thank-you so much for all the info you send, it helps alot. I’m going to be ordering your video within the next few months and as far as the reciipe you just sent….I wish I could eat it. You see, I can’t eat any greens, beans, meat and quite a few other fruits and vegetables, due to a pretty severe digestive problem.I do take supplements, however, is there anything you could recommend for me? I eat alot of wild salmon and other veggies and some fruits.I’ve seen nutritionist after nutritionist and they all say the same thing…eat lots of dairy and slowly introduce foods. This just doesn’t work. I know this is a tough one and I don’t expect you to fix this for me but anything you could suggest would help.
Thank-you,
Gianna

Oh, yes: one question! What is the big deal with the 2 Tbs olive oil and 3 Tbs of balsamic vinegar thing? Is this some kind of magic fat burning combination? It comes up at nearly every meal apart from breakfast. I don’t mind olive oil, but don’t enjoy the vinegar much at all …

If I may make a suggestion, I would try keeping a food journal, there are a few online that are really good, you can also find out how many calories, grams of fat, carbs, proteins, etc. in every single piece of food you put into your body. You can track your activities and you can also figure out your calorie deficit..it works along with all the information and programs that this handsome gentleman has been giving us.

Hiya Joey.. you are right on the money! Lots of vitamins, minerals as well as being delicious. A salad a day keeps the doctor away to! Have a great day:))

For the picky eaters out there…you need to realize that you are eating for purpose NOT pleasure…that’s what got you out of shape & over weight to begin with!

I WAS WONDERING WHICH BRNAD OF CHICKPEAS YOU RECOMMEND!! YOU SAID TO BE CAREFUL WHICH BRAND I USE!! THANKS!
September 3rd, 2008 at 2:36 pm
Joey told us which Chick Peas in his article “Fat Loss for Smart People. No Fat Loss for Idiots here.”
Here’s the quote:
“For example – today for lunch I ate half a can of chick peas with some other ingredients – from the company ‘Eden’ – they make many organic items AND – they have done away with using cans that are lined with BPA – great news for us – as this move will prompt many other companies to do the same!”
Thanks for your suggestions Joey!

I tried a really good diet (Dax Moy), great exercise etc and it mostly worked. I am just stuck with a paunch and unable to shift the last bit of weight. I ended up practically eating nothing at one point in desperation and working out, but all that happened was I ended up feeling ill! Nitwit! Anyway, I keep trying and maybe one day the menopause will stop kicking me back! It really has managed to screw me up.
September 3rd, 2008 at 3:07 pm
Okay, Joey, that’s what I just ate for lunch … a nice big veggie-filled salad, with some walnuts and a sprinkleing of low fat shredded cheese. I eat that every day, either for lunch or dinner. Aso, everyday, I have yogurt and LOTS of fruit. I am thin … but I can’t get rid of my belly!!!!!! IT IS DRIVING ME NUTS! HELP1

I live in Spain, and would like to know what to look for in the chick peas
September 3rd, 2008 at 5:40 pm
Mmmmmm.. recipe sounds yummy <3
Years ago I totally fell for these tactics myself and bought some ‘fat burning’ pill.. I was young and of course STUPID.
I’ve tried dieting many times – Atkins, Weight Watchers, Slim Fast – All failed.
Wasn’t untill my most recent attempt I lost close to 5 stone in 6 months (very little in recent months though and desperate to loose the last little bit that just doesn’t want to go) Loads of people ask me how and the truth – Good healthy balanced diet and exercise.
Love your blogs Joey! x

It seems that its not only the ‘Diet Marketers’ trying to get a ‘quick buck’ from weight loss. As a personal trainer myself, i am really tired of people in this industry looking for an extra income by holding back information and just giving enough to entice people, then charging them for ’secrets’ that aren’t that secret. It seems that the words change but the advice doesn’t. Tactics, secrets, tips, all words used for the same advice. I just wish we had more genuine people in this industry who wanted to make a difference without looking for financial reward.

Learning to eat healthier foods is an acquired skill, one that takes time. I do get kind of a chuckle when I hear overweight people tell me that they are ‘picky’ or don’t like ________. They go on and on about how it’s different for them because there are so many foods they don’t like, and can’t figure out why switching to a healthier ‘cheeto’ ie.baked, hasn’t helped them take weight off. They will probably always be overweight until they LEARN to eat and ENJOY healthier foods.

Joey
I just turned 56 this weekend and I know because of taking care of myself with exercise and proper nutrition I feel better physically and mentally then I did at 36 when processed foods was a way of life for me and two young children.
Like many women here perimenopause/menopause slowed down my metabolism so much, after being thin all my life that my heart had trouble keeping up with the weight I was putting on.
I used Bob Greene, Get With The Program to introduce better nutrition, portion control and easing into exercise to make a total lifestyle change in the last 4 1/2 years and I have never looked back. It eased me into learning how to eat properly and how to add exercise to my life gradually so I wasn’t overwhelmed. The results were slow, without a doubt, but there were results and my heart has continued to thank me.
Now as I get older the weight becomes a constant battle in the 8 pack/belly area. Portion control and clean eating is my best ali and deviating from this for too long only sends me back to square one.
So, here I am starting a New Year in my Life in September, blessed with knowledge that Pills cannot fix your weight, only mindset and consistency and perserverance can with both food intake and exercise. You need both to succeed.
One thing…I absolutely hate, detest, cannot tolerate the texture of any kind of beans, which I know are excellent for me. Any suggestions for a replacement?
Ladies and Gents…a really nice quick snack is a cup of 1% cottage cheese with 1/2 a cup of fresh grape/cherry tomatoes chopped and a tsp of fresh chopped oregano. It beats a protein bar anyday.

Joey, yup, your lunch is my kind of food, -delish! Thank you about the Eden info. and showing that we don’t have to live on constant chicken and turkey meals to get muscles
I love your very helpful articles. You helped me to realize that I needed to stay focused on healthy fats, in order to lose fat. While I never was a trans fat junky, I had been eating too much cheese and olive oil; it added up.
Regarding fat loss, -being post menapausal – I am losing my love handles, wide hips & thighs slooooowly, but am seeing results. I have found out that low thyroid makes your body want to retain fat; doctors say that even with a straightened out thyroid through meds, or suppliments in my case, it takes longer to lose. You have helped me keep focused on the goal.
My fat is around my thighs and hips, the first place I gain and the last place I lose. I have however every intention of reaching my goal.
September 3rd, 2008 at 6:55 pm
wow ,TICTACS, I totally saw this one coming. Okay, not really. But as ironic as it is I’ve been using this method, well trying to at least(i keep forgetting i have them. XD). but I’m glad I have some insurance that TICTACS are very helpful. I do plan on trying out that lunch, but I would like to know what about dinner? And of course the other days for lunch and dinner. Is there like a “verity menu” you could post in your next article? Stating about 2-3 different lunch and dinner choices so you could mix it up each day. Well I thank you for this article, really helps.

Great meal suggestion, Joey, thank you. I’m at work, very bored, so i thought i’d contribute some tips for those wondering about the chick peas. I cook them myself instead of using tinned. It’s not hard to do, and its cheaper. I know it’s more time consuming, but if you make a system for yourself you’ll be amazed how it can fit into your schedule.
I buy a pack organic peas from the health food store, and about once a week i cook a batch for use during the week.
YOu have to soak them first, overnight (at least 18 hours). This is to reduce the toxins in the peas for germination purposes, and also softens the fibre in the beans and makes them more digestible. It’s a really important step, and is the main reason I don’t use tinned. No matter how good the peas are in an organic tin, you don’t have control over whether the manufacturer does this step or not.
Cook them for 1 to 1 1/2 hours (until you can mush one easily with a spoon).
The gas that can result from eating beans, peas and legumes is one reason lots of people (myself included) shy away from them. But it’s so healthy (and fat reducing) to get most of your protein from plant sources and cut down on your meat intake, so it’s worth doing if you can.
So here are some tips for reducing gas problems:
- always soak them first, and change the soaking water at least once
- pour the soak water out, don’t use it (it contains some good nutrients but also the stuff you don’t want, your plants will love it
- don’t add salt to the cooking water (this hardens the beans)
- add a couple of bay leaves or kombu (seaweed, very rich in minerals and iodine to keep your thyroid healthy) to the cooking water instead. These help to break down the fibre.
My scheduling tactic is:
- while i’m making dinner one night I put the peas on to soak
- the next morning i pour out the soak water and add some more
- the next evening while making dinner, i put an extra pot on and cook the peas
- drain and store in the fridge to use during the week
The cooked peas will keep in the fridge for a week. Rinse them every few days. I throw mine into soups and stews and salads, whatever i’m making that needs a protein boost. Chick peas and chicken is a great flavour combination. Hummus is easy to make too, and is a great topping for salads.
I hope you enjoyed these. Have a great day

Hi Joey–BRAVO on understanding our true need for tactics. My biggest frustration is that I am basically a small woman and have never been at an unhealthy weight. I’ve lost and gained the last 10-12 lbs to my goal at least 50 times. My body adapts to just about every nutrition plan I’ve tried and just stalls out. Once I hit 40 there are clothes in my closet that I can’t exercise or “diet deficit” myself into anymore no matter how much I push. My TDEE is only around 1700 calories and if I go over 1200 which is the deficit I’m supposed to hit on all the body builder metabolic charts, I gain weight . I’ve spent thousands on personal training and gym memberships and all I did was gain muscle which never seemed to stoke my metabolism enough to shred fat as I’ve heard it is supposed to. My trainers always commended me on the huge development in my arms and thighs which I hated. I trained hard with kettlebells and serious weights and interval cardio till I got injured in May and had to switch to yoga, pilates and walking. All I want is to get rid of about 2 inches around my waist and 1/1/2 inches each of my thighs and hips. Is that too much to ask? i know you get what I mean. It’s wrong for me to keep starving myself but the 6 mini-meal a day thing is just not for me. It’s just too easy to overeat at one or two of the meals. Plus I have a lot of food sensitivities and oats, dairy and many raw fruits and vegetables just don’t agree with me. I’m not giving up, I’m just looking for new tactics. Thanks for listening : )
September 3rd, 2008 at 11:40 pm
Oops amendment to what I said in my previous post: my TDEE is around 1500 calories and my recommended deficit is around 1200 I eat at that level and I’m not making progress.
September 3rd, 2008 at 11:50 pm
hey joey
thanks for all your advices i found them very useful, i want you to send me a diet or something that help me to decrese my metabolic rate that i can burn fat faster, and some goood recipes like this.

WOW – WOW – WOW…
This is great to see so many people involved and interested in this – I wish I could answer everyone individually – but I’d be here all night!
I will however address some of the issues in future posts related to this topic… But I do want everyone to know – I completely understand your long standing frustrations and strong desires to ‘win’ your battle…
And I can promise you – what we are putting together is going to be THE answer for many of you…
I noticed Kym, one of my fitness colleagues, made a few comments about the profit motive and her disdain for other fitness pros – looking to make a side income by posing on the internet under the guise of holding some “secrets – never before revealed – and you can have them – IF you fork over some of your hard earned cash”…
And she is 100% right – there is a lot of garbage out there – and this, my friends, is one of THE top reasons I am putting this program together… to give people something with substance – something different, that finally will work – and yes – there are secrets in this thing… In time you’ll be able to see them, use them and benefit from them, firsthand…
There is some time, energy and money going into this project and I’ve partnered with a brilliant programmer to help me create a simple system that literally guarantees your success, with ease and excitement…
This new project is not for side income or to see if we can ‘make another buck’ – …I have a dozen other websites all connected to a specific exercise program or book – and together they all earn a very good living for me and my family… So I don’t ‘need’ the money – no this is about something much deeper than money – this is about knowing I have the ability to help MANY people who have not been able to find the help they need – …and create a way to deliver that help they need in a way that hasn’t been offered before… – It’s what I’ve been gifted with and put on this earth to do…
I don’t mean to rant everyone – but I’m passionate about this stuff – and there’s NO BETTER FEELING than helping someone succeed at something that they’ve failed at many, many times before… Stay tuned…
Onward we all go!
Your trainer for life,
Joey Atlas

Hi Joey
I bought your LBHT and core of steel dvd either late last year (2007) or early this year. I sort of started doing the exercises but unfortunately living about 2hours drive from work one way took it’s toll and by the time I’d got home I was bushed. I did as much as I could on weekends (amid sny snickers from my current boyfriend) but I never did give it a full go. I have since moved to Durban and have a much more relaxed lifestyle. My 14 year old daughter is a little hefty and also has scoliosis. We started on your eating plan, adapting it to foods available in South Africa and now do each of the 3 dvds at least once a week. The results are phenomenal. I have lost 3kg in 3 months and they are OFF! My daughter has started firming up her abs and is very impressed with the results. I have now taken the next step and stopped drinking in order to stop smoking as I only smoked when consuming alcohol. So far so good. Thanks for a fantastic product that when used correctly actually does work. I found the only problem being the diet as it is not South Africa friendly but luckily I have done some research and found alternatives. Perhaps you could develop something specifically for us South Africans in terms of eating plans. Other than that thank you for a fantastic product! I am 34 and loving the way I look.

Hi Joey,
Love your recipes. Tried some of them. However, I’m fasting during the day and don’t quite know what to make for supper so I don’t have to pick up weight. Any ideas what I should be eating after I break my fast. I start fast from 5.30am to 6.30pm. Please help me.
Thanks agian for all blogs.

Hi Joey, your writeups are very encouraging for those who really desire to lose weight permanently. Right now am in my second trimester what forms of diet and exercise would u suggest.
September 4th, 2008 at 6:43 am
Joey, I just want you to know, that I was reading once more in a fantastic book titled “The Thyroid Solution”, By Ridha Arem, M.D. He is a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, also served for years as Chief of Endocrinology and Metabolism at Ben Toub Hospital and as Medical Director of the Endocrine Lab. at Methodist Hospital.
The Blow Torch Diet meal plans to my understanding, are the best type of foods for the thyroid: Protein, Complex Carbs, good fats, nuts, low sugar fruits, olive oil, -all the things he highly recommends. There is so much valuable information in this book. Beginning on page 123- to about 137, he goes into “How the Thyroid Hormone Affects Both Eating Behavior and Metabolism”.
I hope you don’t mind me mentioning it. He describes also how a person eating hydrogenated and saturated fats can very well have weight gain, even if they do NOT increase their total caloric intake.
This is a great reference book in many ways.
I find this doctors information very important, when I consider how many major diets say that butter and oils are not good for fat loss, and should be completly avoided.

Joey, I bought your butt, thigh and leg video months ago and am afraid of it! I have done the video, at least the first one, a couple of times and each time I ma unable to walk for days afterwards. They are fantastic moves that target my problem areas, but I know I have to be able to ‘not move’ for the week to follow. I am in tae kwon do, weight training, yoga, and some pilates and am a mother of three teenagers. Your videos are great…if only they didnt kill me!
BTW, what do you think about Atkins eating? I’m on it now for a month and havent lost a pound!
thanks
Lara

JoJo – I dont do individual coaching via the blogs… its just not possible…
You can stay tuned for future articles and for the fat-loss program we’ll be releasing for the New Year.
Lara – I’m not sure if you read the progression plans for the ULBHTM – or remember hearing my instructions…
You should start my program LIGHTLY – as it does what it promises to do – it targets the prob areas and trouble spots… -very different from the regular type stuff…
So back down on the reps – and gradually increase each week.
If you dont have the Prog Plans – just email Pam – and shell send them to you.
Keep me posted on your progress!!

To Kaylan on picky kid food,
Jessica Seinfeld has a great recipe book out that feeds her crew of 5. The book is called “Deceptively Delicious”. Everything that most normal “All-American” kids eat is in this book and many adult favorites.
Check it out on the web!

Hi the quick salad you described is great, but I had read from an e-mail, that the baby carrots are larger carrots shaved down and dipped in chlorine and left there for a few seconds. That is why they turn white after the bag has been opened. After I read the article I don’t buy them. I used to give them to the dogs but don’t now either. Thanks for the recipe.

Most of the articles I see are telling me how to get a 6-pack, but I don’t want that because it requires a continual heavy abdominal workout plan to get it and to maintain it. ALL I WANT IS A FLAT STOMACH, just to lose the abdminal fat. I don’t need ridges of ab muscle, just a healthy mid section. There are few articles that tell you how to just lose the fat and stay flat.

Dear Joey,
My son and I changed our life style two years ago. I lost 105lbs. and my son lost 20lbs. I don’t understand how 2 people could eat the same way and one get better results than the other. My son weighed 197 and they sent me to childrens’ hospital in Pittsburgh and they put us on a diet that we could eat anything as long as it only had 5 grams of fat and 10 grams of sugar. We had great results like I said I lost weight. My son didn’t lose as much weight but he lost 3 pant sizes. The thing is Tyler needs to loss more weight he is 180 lbs. He is only 12. We seem to be stuck. We are still doing the 5/10 diet. I have replaced our sugar with splenda. We lost all the weight the first year. We are maintaining it but we haven’t lost anymore. Tyler runs the steps 2x a day. He runs up and down 6 times each plus we do your 10 min work out for butt legs and thighs. No change every morning we get on scale and we always weigh the same. It won’t come off. Is it possible for your body to refuse to lose weight and if so what do you do about it.

I WANT TACTICS!!! I have tried everything from the latest fad to Dr supervised stuff. And have maybe lost 5 pounds, only to regain it when nobody was looking. It’s getting ridiculous! I have exercised until my body (and everyone around me) screams for mercy. Guess I’m not doing something/ anything right!
Thanks!

Hi Joey,
I totally agree with the salad mix you posted. Several years ago, I started eating the salad for lunch everyday. I not only lost a lot of weight I felt great. I started making these salads for several people I worked with, they all lost weight and felt good too!!!. I have put some weight on in the last couple of years. I am going shopping tomorrow and by the few inexpensive items to start eating like I did back then. Thank you so much for sharing all your tips with us.

Dear Joey,
I am new to this site and felt so happy that i got a good trainer for my life. I have been searching for a good trainer who can guide me to get my six tight abs (as i don’t have now) with a good diet. I bought your book from Amazon.com and gone through it and i found so many things that i don’t know.
About me – I am 27 years old and i use to workout for a while but unfortunately i met with an accident and bedridden for 6 months and also lost the control of ligaments of my shoulders and thighs. I put on weight and looks so ugly (fat). I didn’t even imagine that i can become like this. I took doctors advice and also some medicines but failed to get my previous fitness. I am very worried about my fitness. Added to it i am working night fitness and i couldn’t even manage my daily routines in tact. So could you please guide me to provide a good diet and make a fit guy. Hope you understand my problem.
Thanks
Esh

Dear Joey,
I am 25 years old. Im 5′6″, and 150 lbs. I have tried the Atkins diet, and I lost a few pounds but not as much as i wanted. I have done a few workout videos, but I feel like Im hurting my back more than losing my tummy. Im trying to figure out a good diet plan and good workouts that dont leave me in pain. I would like to lose 30 lbs. Do you see the Atkins Diet as a good, safe diet?

Joey,
I’m stuck…since last Christmas, well New Years I made a new start.. Since that sad new years party, I have gone from a size 22 to a size 16. Now, “I’m stuck” nothing gained, nothing lost. I find some days i do to much a hr of cardio then a hr of weights, abs squats… other days not enough…30 min. I’m thinking of changing it up. By eating totally clean no mayo, no butter Just protein, veggies, fruit and hearty carbs…:)( whole grains)
Sometimes, I wonder that this is the size I stop at:( what do you think?

Hey ya Joey,
First off I saved up to buy your dvd for hips, buns and thighs as I had invested in the core secrets kit, although I like bouncing around on the ball to the buns battle it just wasn’t working for me. Ive only had your dvd for about 2 weeks now and it really does burn he-he. Just I’m struggling with a few things, I cant do all the work out most of the time which ends up me brushing it off for another day thinking if I don’t put the time in to doing it right it wont work and another thing is, is food, where do I go to find healthy exciting meals that aren’t going to cost me mega dollars as I’m on a limited budget and cant join assorts of site and foods, the thing with me is I start out good then a few weeks into the routine I become so bored that I head back to my usual habit and then start to feel horrible about it, I know I want to change but why is change so hard to get your head around, I know alot of women may say well if you want to do it you can and I’m sure there right but mentally I feel like I keep tripping up and letting myself down. Please help! you always have good ideas and I’m sure I’m like any other women who is probably a bit lost with where to go and what to eat and how to do things. Thanks joey.

I have just lost my first 15 pounds. I did it by eating LOW fat. Revising how I eat outside the home, being careful when ordering anything, to make sure it is low enough in fat content so my body can handle it. I have never been able to lose weight before.
I am not at the “chick pea” stage, but I will be soon enough.
We like lots of different types of beans, so I am not concerned.
All vegetables are pretty much fat free, if you are careful with the sauce or butter you add.
I am grateful for your encouraging words to me and to others.
Currently I weigh about 283, but I did weigh about 297.
Thank you for your e-mails, and interest in helping those of us who just haven’t been able to lose weight before.
Sincerely
Cindy
