Diet & Weight Loss Scams: How to Spot a Diet Scam Quickly
-
I went through a bunch of diet & weight loss advertisements and notes I took over the last few months.
There are a handful of claims that these products or programs make - that are a loud signal for you to know that you are looking at a rip-off.
This is not a complete list - as I have more to add in the future - but so far these are the most frequently abused BS claims…
When you see them - just keep going - and don’t be fooled…
“Lose weight without diet or exercise!”
“Lose weight no matter how much you eat of your favorite foods!”
“Lose weight permanently! Never diet again!” <= this one can be true but most of the time it is NOT)
“Block the absorption of fat, carbs, or calories!”
“Lose more than 30 pounds in 30 days!”
“This works for everyone because it’s so easy!”
“Lose weight with our miracle supplement, diet patch or cream!”
What claims have you come across (or even tried) - that are clear rip-off diet or weight loss scams?
Just post below - because everybody reading this also wants to know… Just click ‘Comment’…

It is like everything else, people looking for shortcuts. Same with making money, I have mentored many people, and the ones who continually get taken at scams are the ones who are unwilling to do the work it requires. Loosing weight is no different, if it eliminates eating properly and excerise- don’t go there! Use common sense.

In a moment of weakness I handed over money, received a bag of supplements, the promise of a manual at some unspecified time in the future and a recipe book seemingly based on a range of largely outmoded eating plans e.g. high protein no carbs, low fat high fibre and Food Combining. The supplements have to be replaced on a weekly or monthly basis guaranteeing the company a steady income of $160 to $200 a month. Of course the consultations are “free”. Caveat emptor! Run for your life from these promotions - or look at the franchise page to see how they really operate!
