Snoop Dogg, Batman and Joey Atlas
May 29th, 2008- by Joey Atlas
———————————————————————————-
What do Snoop Dogg, Batman and Joey Atlas have in common?
No - It’s not a # 1 Selling Rap Album (that was Snoop Dogg, I think)
No - It’s not the ability to beat the crap out of 7 bad guys in 3 minutes (that was Batman, but I could do it if I had to)
No - It’s not a # 1 Best Selling Fitness, Nutrition and Life Enhancement Book (that’s gonna be me next week, on June 5th)
Here is what the 3 of us do have in common. We each own a Chrysler 300 - but each is very different from the others - especially mine…
Here is Snoop Doggs’ - as you can see it’s been ‘pimped out’:

Below is Batman’s (well, really Adam West) - pretty mild - no flames coming out the back like the Batmobile:

And below is mine - keep in mind - it’s a 1962 Chrysler 300, about 43 years older than the ones you see above. And - it needs a makeover of it’s own - which is happening while we speak…

Below is what it will look like after the ‘makeover’ - just a bit cooler though - and it will be all black…

Why a 1962 Chrysler 300?, you ask…
Well, 2 reasons:
1 - We needed an official promotional vehicle for my book launch and ongoing book promotion tour - and long term promotion events. And I found this one a few weeks ago at the exact right moment - the experience was ‘magnetic’.
2 - I am a classic/muscle car fanatic and doing a restoration project like this has been a dream of mine since childhood.
So you must be wondering about the book launch next week. Right now we are hard at work preparing for the launch - lots of small details to get in order when working with Amazon - to get everything set up properly.
The official launch date is June 5th - Thursday of next week (this will be different - of course, in other parts of the world.)
So stay tuned - and in the meantime - leave me your comments below - I’d love to hear from you.

Giday Joey, Cool car - very American from the early 60ies!
I have been weight training with cardio, etc for a few years now & just love it. Two weeks ago I started Plyometics with a trainer at the gym, I don’t just love it, I LOVE it. I enjoy the sparring very much. May I ask you a question please…. Now I only go in 3 times a week instead of 5 (3 days weights, 2 days cardio). I am totally nackered after the Plyometrics but I still feel I need to be doing more! Maybe old habits from the 5 days!! My trainer says 3 days is enough but I miss the other 2 days at the gym… PS My family are all into European cars especially VW & Audi’s (Imagine Snoop Dogg in an Audi.. Nahhh) Good luck with the launch, your car is going to look amazzzingggg

Hi, Joey
I know I haven’t contacted you for awhile. Don’t worry you’re still my favorite fitness guru. I had a small surgery on Feb. 25th. Which set my fitness back. I’m trying my best to get back in the groove. I must say, I’m excited about your book, plus the 1962 Chrysler is a great idea (My year of Birth). I know it will be a best seller.
Best to you and yours
Elsie

Joey,
I eagerly look forward to all of your emails… they keep me going!
Most recently, i LOVE your breakfast idea of unsweetened cocoa in coffee in the AM since I am so addicted to both!! I have been on the first DVD (LBHT) for quite awhile…. still can’t complete it but then I am nearly 55 (next month) and never exercised seriously until now.
Best wishes with your book… P.S. Get IMUS to talk about your book on his radio program in the morning 77 ABC in New York … I listen to him every day on my way to school…It will be #1 in no time!

Hey… when i clicked submit comment somehow this got typed: your comment is awaiting moderation…I did not do that!!! Is that referring to you, Joey?

Love the car! My hubbie is a car fanatic. I bought him a ‘66 Chevy truck for Christmas. It’s a definite project! Looking forward to the book.
May 29th, 2008 at 6:24 pm
Dude, e-mails are great. Good luck w/ your book.
Please e-mail pix of the 300 from start to finish.
That car’s gonna be smokin’.
May 29th, 2008 at 6:25 pm
You are the first young person that I have met that refers to “muscle cars”. One of the things I have liked about the new Chryler 300 is that it reminded me of the muscle cars of the 60’s, my era. Sweet! and so is your 62″ dream remodel.

good luck with ur book
May 29th, 2008 at 6:35 pm
Hi Joey,
I have been doing your exercises now to define and get rid of what I lovingly call my “hail damage” on my butt for about a month. I would love to say that I only have thighs for you, Joey, but I felt like I had to do something drastic like alot of women who have tried their swimsuits on and screamed in terror. I joined a gym close to my house (private workout–have you heard of it?) for a 60 day “gut buster” get in shape/ jumpstart type of program. The trainers were very helpful.(Not as cute as you, of course, but helpful and were not hard sell at all, and I felt like they were telling me the truth when they said the machines would change my body. (Are they just muscley liars?) I have been eating more protein, watching not to overdo on sweets, drinking more water– all the things we already know to do when trying to look our best. I have completed my third week and have already noticed so many changes-leaner legs, stronger core. I can do you on my off days from the gym can’t I? Please tell me I can be a gym member and have you on the side. (not to be confused with having my cake and eating it too!)
Signed
Toni (your two timer from Texas)
ps Will you ever be in Dallas doing a boot camp or do you have fitness weekends somewhere? Everyone keeps asking me how I’ve changed my lower half so quickly!

Hey Joey..
Good like with the car! Love it (not only because it’s classic, but because u r giving all ur effort in its restoration)! I really wish u all the good luck, with both the car and the book, because u deserve it by helping all those people reaching their life goals and dreams ( just like u r reaching ur childhood dream
)
Many luck, love and power needed to go through ur life,

Have to agree with Elsie - us ‘62 models were built to last!! Love the web site, and the e-mails, can’t wait to read the book, and thanks for all your inspiration and motivation. Hopefully my cracked ribs will have healed by the time your book arrives and I can get straight into it!

What a beauty..the car…good luck with your book and thanks for your continuing artcles.
May 29th, 2008 at 9:02 pm
Wow SWEEEEEET RIDE You have there. Wow, I love muscle cars, YOURS ROCK. I don’t really care for the new cars that are out now. I like the old muscle cars or that are classified as muscle cars now, back from the 60’s-80’s. Thanks for sharing. I don’t pay attention to pimped up brand new cars. A pimped up 1962 Chrysler would be WAY better! Oldies are GOODIES! hehehe.
May 29th, 2008 at 9:15 pm
I love your car. Very sexy! I think I will just fantasize for awhile, lovely naughty thoughts about the gorgeous hot car, with the driver behind the wheel.
May 29th, 2008 at 9:20 pm
Awesome car! Can’t wait to see the finished product… enjoy the restoration experience! Also looking forward to your book! Good Luck!
May 29th, 2008 at 9:35 pm
Hi Joey
Came across the website a few weeks ago and have added some of the exercises into my program, thanks for the tips….
Love the idea of a muscle car - how very appropriate for the muscle guy …. great marketing idea BTW….which if used properly - and I’m sure it will be, will ensure viral marketing status in a very short while….would consider though - adding something that is “YOU” to the paint job to ensure the car is spoken about in wider circles - I do love viral marketing strategies
Cheers

Hello JOEY. Thank you for the info thus far. A bit of background on me… i am in the process of becoming a qualified fitness trainer and enjoyed reading a few of your articles. My goal is to be the best fitness trainer in South Africa and focus on females wanting to get into shape… I would appreciate it if you could give me some pointers that will help me achieve my goal?
Thanks again,

Hi Joey! I live in Australia but the net can make the world a smaller place. We live similar lifestyles here except fuel now is so expensive you’d need to be rich to be able to afford to drive your new car! I wish you every success with the launch and will try to be in the first 500!
May 30th, 2008 at 7:02 am

Thank you Joey for all of your updates and emails. I appreciate it. I look forward to seeing what your car is going to look like. I really like old cars myself, and i think that the Chrysler is going to look really sharp in black. It will be a real head turner.
May 30th, 2008 at 8:43 am
Been there since the early days and going to continue. Keep up the good work and continued success. Blessing and thank you.
May 30th, 2008 at 8:43 am
paradise found——great car—–what an accomplishment and sense of pride bringing it back to life——-good metaphor for a fitness guru———————i was in a life threatening accident in late 2006 and i am still finding myself on the mend—but with positive attitude i am getting there—although i am slim with little body fat i am not in shape–don’t have the strength i used to but with excercise and landscaping my 2 acres from scratch is working wonders. success to you with your book i will keep my eye out for it up here in the ottawa canada area.
i give thanks for you

Hey Joey,
Congrats bud on the book, I know it will be #1 best seller of all time.
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your “Blow-torch weight” program. In 7 months on your program I have lost 80lbs and feel AWESOME! I have gotten the confidence to face anything that comes my way, your emails are always an inspiration and always helpful for me to learn how to eat healthy not just for this diet but for the rest of my life. I only wish I had found your program years ago.
There is no “HYPE” with any of your programs and that’s what made me turn to your fitness routines, I’m determined and have the willpower to lose the weight and it’s working for me and I advise anyone to give it a try and they’ll never by sorry.
Joey, your car is sweeeet and I wish it was sitting in my driveway right now. I’m excited for your book to come out so I can let my friends know and they can order a copy.

I love your story and your car. Good luck on the book launch. Your’re the best personal trainer I have ever had. Keep those emails coming. They give me inspiration and motivation to keep going. My legs are stronger. When I walk up steps, they don’t hurt. Still working on the glutes. I have a flat butt, but it is starting to shape up a little. I have incorporated some of Hollys intervals which is working out great. Thank you so much for all your emails and help.

Wow…the car is awesome! Brains & taste and soon a #1 Best Seller!
May 30th, 2008 at 11:56 am
Joey,
I work for a place where members (free website) sign up for a free web-page to show off their cars. It is to showcase those people who are into lovingly restoring older cars, for those who just ‘pimp their rides’, or for those who really get into cars. It is the largest automotive social network on the net.
You should sign up and keep posting updated photos!
We have competitions and ‘Rides of the Week’.
This is a great place for you to showcase the restoration!
CarDomain.com
Check it out.

btw - I can’t wait for the book. you should have done advance sales to increase the hype!! I would have pre-paid. Oh well, hope I get the first edition.

May 30th, 2008 at 7:51 pm
First off. I’m loving your sexy car and hope it turns into your very own “JAt-mobile”.
Congratulations on your book launch Joey. It’s inspiring to see people taking their dreams into action. I really benefited from your DVD’s and has helped to go from a notion to get more flexible and build core strength and turn it into a routine.
All the best on the book launch and rolling up in “da 300!”
May 30th, 2008 at 8:07 pm
Kudos Joey! Another thing you have in common - you have made an impact in peoples lives (they are for viewing), yours happens to be the greatest gift - teach a man to take care of himself and he will be fit and teach others. (Something like teach a man to fish…)
You are awesome and we appreciate you!
May 30th, 2008 at 8:47 pm

Hi Joey,
It was kind of funny.I thought that the common thing among three of you, that you were going to talk about was something to do with fitness.
You have our support all the way in reaching your goal of number 1 seller.
After all it was you who made my life and the lives of thousands around the world change for ever with your scientific and a very practical approach towards fitness.
I wish you the very best.

Joey, when I pulled up the website, amazed, the Chrysler was there! I let Les know of your excitement, HE SMILED.. JOEY’s 300.. I told him when he gets the wagon finished, as I have only once driven the 300, who will drive the wagon and who will drive the 300 when we go to car shows? Huge choice to place on one mans shoulders! I love it..Your 300 will be SWEET as well! We start our program 06/01, a fresh start. Looking forward to new ideas. See ya soon! Pam and Les
