I work at home (or wherever laptop goes) and I had the same fear -- but I ended up losing weight because I found it much easier to fit in exercise and I didn't eat out as much as I did at the office! :D

Hi, Joey,

I'm waiting for your new system, I'm not overweight or such, "just" a stress/emotional eater which definetely will make me into one... I wonder how your new book will deal with that issue.
I have a question regarding L-carnitine. I searched through the articles but I haven't see anything about that one: is it the same junk as those supplement pills or is it effective? I know that our body has them in a small rate, too. I eat them before work-out.

Hi Joey,

I'm looking forward to your new book in 2009 but in the mean time I have your upper and lower body workouts. I'd like to know how to incorporate both of these workouts and cardio in any given week. I've looked on your other sites for info on how often to do all three (upper, lower and cardio) but i haven't been able to find anyting. What is the best combination of the three to lose fat and tone muscle? Thanks for your help.

Hi joey,
I enjoy doing the bootcamp style full body workouts that include a lot of push ups, back rows with a barbell (about 55 lbs), other dumb bell excercises, body squats etc. The one's that I do is fast paced, usually last 30 mins, has no break between sets and are so intense and sweaty that they also serve as a cardio workout as well. From a muscle building perspective, will I sabotage my work out efforts if I do these on consecutive days? or 5 days per week?

Joey... I am SO excited about the EDFL book! I can't wait! My story... I've always had a sexy figure and I've never had a worry about dieting, exercising, etc... until about 2 years ago. I've slowing noticed a little extra... here and there. (mostly in my lower belly, thighs, hips and butt. I only need to drop maybe 10 pounds and firm up. I've purchased your DVD's and, I have to admit, have not been too consistent; only because my day to day schedule is a bit hectic. I know.. that's NO excuse. :( I have a desk job, which I know isn't helping matters. I believe I eat fairly well... but, know that I should get more cardio in my daily routine. I told myself, last night, that that's it. I refuse to let myself go... I jumped on the treadmill and walked 2 miles and did your lower body work out. Joey, I guess I've never really appreciated the body I used to have and I WANT IT BACK. It's been bringing me down quite a bit. I spent a week in Jamaica and a week in Barbados this year; and the last thing I wanted to do was put on my bathing suit. :( I was so discouraged. Everywhere you look you get promises for weight loss and everyone says their way is the "best way". I just don't know what to believe and what NOT to believe anymore. I've looked at your blow torch diet and, honestly, I can't see myself following a plan like that. I need something that's easier to follow on an everyday basis. I hope I'm making sense here. I'm going online right now to purchase your "Fatness to Fitness" book. I'm hoping to get some good pointers from it. I love your videos... they are real and I can "feel" the burn. I've only done level 1, so far. Maybe I don't give it enough time. I seem to get discouraged when I don't notice results right away... and then I slack off and get depressed. It's a horrible cycle. Anyway... I just wanted to pick your brain and see if you had any suggestions for me. Thanks, Joey. It's nice to be able to write to you and know that I will recieve a reply back. :) Warmest, Sonia

Thanks, Joey. I will patiently wait for its release in 2009. Since I'm not the most patient person, so I'm going to hope for a sneak preview. A girl can dream, right?

Oh and something else for you to think about. How about a Joey Atlas app or 2 for the Ipod Touch? I loaded a couple of the interval training apps but they leave a lot to be desired.

Thanks again!

Hi Colleen - 'Every Day Fat Loss' is going to be perfect for you... Based on 7 years of research and 3 years of specific feedback - EDFL has been put together for women who need to lose 10 - 70 lbs.

- about 85% of EDFL clients will be shooting for 10 - 25 lbs of fat loss - while the other 15% will be going for the higher range of fat loss...

Forget Weight Watchers - what we have in store for you puts WW to shame...

Hope this helps,
Joey
